Global warming is a gradual increase in the temperature of the earth.
It is brought about mainly by greenhouse gases like carbon dioxide.
Such gases will trap heat above the Earth and cause
what is known as the greenhouse effect or global warming.
When global warming keeps building up, it will pose a great threat to the existence of all living things.
On the hand, global warming is causing the polar ice caps to melt more quickly.
This, in turn, is making sea levels continue to rise.
So, if global warming is not kept under control, many low-lying areas will be flooded.
And a lot of islands may even disappear for good.
On the other hand, global warming has caused some climate change.
Natural disasters like storms, tsunamis and forest fires have become increasingly common.
All governments around the world should do something about global warming before it is too late.
