There are many big shows in Taiwan such as, car, computer, travels…etc. In the last few years,
show girl has become a distinctive cultural phenomenon in
Taiwan. Models with perfect body figures are used as sex appeals in exhibitions to
attract audience and potential customers. While models, mostly females, are used as a boost for sales,
they too have become an eye-catching sight for the media.
Product-promotion and marketing are necessary but lately with the modeling and showgirl trend,
women are in danger of becoming products themselves at these exhibitions.
In my opinion, good marketing targets what consumers want.
Consumers don't need to see beautiful girls at car or computer exhibitions, they can see beauty elsewhere.
The main focus of the shows should be the products, not the women.
