In my opinion, Most of men in Taiwan were deadly serious in the past time. 

Taiwanese male were influenced by Japanese. 

They are always following a prescribed pattern in speech or action. 

In some women views, they feel many men have more male chauvinism, and patriarchy.
 
They are superior to females. However, they will be more responsible for their family. 

Taiwanese men always work hard trying to provide for their family, and, lay down life for their family. 

Nowadays, some of Taiwanese male maybe have less male chauvinism, but have more pressure.
 
Pressure is not only in words and for the short-term, but also in their actions, for the long-term. 

They may have more financial burden. They paid more money to care for children and home mortgage.  

  In a word ,Taiwanese men has change so much than before. They were more moderate and intellectual to regard women.
